Hello and Welcome!

Michael Labiak Nursing Professional Corporation is operating as My Esteem. Mental illness is a unique, isolating, and painful experience. We are here to help. Our goal is to assist in alleviating the needs for mental health services within the public by providing psychotherapy and counselling.   

We offer a free 15 minute uptake consultation which can be scheduled by emailing contactus@myesteem.ca or clicking the 'Contact Us' tab at the top of this page. We will email you back today or the next business day at the latest. (If you are currently in crisis, please call 988 for the crisis line in Ontario).

Our Sessions are an hour one hour of one-on-one psychotherapy through our telehealth services with the Psychotherapists. *The first session will be mostly comprised of a full Psychotherapist assessment. 

We use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to change your initial thought on a situation. These unbalanced thoughts may come from drawing conclusions on life experiences to keep you safe for the short-term, but very stressful for the long-term. We perform these cognitive changes through an interactive tool called conceptualizations, or thought mapping. These changes, when practiced, will have a greatly positive effect on mood disorders, PTSD, and paranoia. 

Psychotherapists are professionally documenting, creating a care plan, and compiling resources to reinforce your growth.  $149 for one hour of psychotherapy, and $149 per appointment to see the Nurse Practitioner for medication support as needed.

Company policies:  Respect for one another is necessary. We understand if you become emotional, but we do not tolerate direct yelling at or blaming the psychotherapist. 

If we suspect you are a danger to yourself or others, we will break confidentiality and contact emergency services.

Any payment out-of-pocket must be received 10 hours before the appointment. 

If the session is not cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment, no refund will be given. We have to be fair to the Psychotherapists' and Nurse Practitioners' schedules.
